I am honored to have the opportunity to share with you the seven steps I took to have a new life after the darkness I experienced back in fall of 2005. I was in a car accident which left me with a broken body and a broken soul.
Life as I knew it was over. I had to be open to learn a new way of living, or I was going to die.
Over the next seven segments of this column, I am going to share with you how I overcame my bondage in hopes it will reach someone out there who may need help with their own life. Here are the steps I endured to create a new way of living. |

Monroe Porter, 10, of Parker was one of only three boys in his division from a nation of hopefuls to compete in the Junior Olympics Skill National Finals July 24-27 in Chicago as a tennis athlete. After winning the west region, Porter took a bronze medal home from the Junior Olympics national competition. |  |
Now that Monroe Porter has seen national Junior Olympics action, he is determined to return next year.
